Just a reminder that “no scents, makes good sense”!

Calendars are available for $7 and St. George’s is the Centrefold!

If you are admitted to the hospital, please let the Rector know by calling/emailing the Office: 855-5209 or It has become increasingly difficult for the clergy to obtain admissions information from the hospital, even when someone requests a visit.

If you’re not currently registered with offering envelopes and would like envelopes for 2017 or would like to sign up for P.A.R. (preauthorized remittance) please contact David Black at or 388-1480.

Make your own Advent Wreath! On November 18th at 11 a.m. we will gather in the church hall for brunch. Following the brunch we will make our own Advent wreaths! Contact Klaudia for details at, or call the Office.

Choir Rehearsals for the upcoming Deanery Advent Service of Lessons & Carols, are at St. George’s from 10-11:30am continue Saturdays - November 25th and December 2nd (Follow this with soup and a roll at St Philip then browse their Annual Christmas Cake Sale and Bazaar). The service itself is Sunday December 3rd, at 4 pm, with a rehearsal at 2pm. All are invited!

Hot chocolate and Christmas Parade! The annual Christmas Parade will be on Nov. 25th at 5 pm. We will open the church hall at 3:30 pm for all who wish to join us for a hot chocolate, coffee, or tea. The church will remain open during the parade for washrooms and hot beverages. Spread the word!

Make your own Nativity Set! On December 2nd, families are invited to come and help set up the large Nativity Set outside and to make their own nativity set to take home. We will meet at 9am for a light breakfast.

Pajamas-Party and Frosty the Snowman! On Dec. 9th between 6-8 pm we will gather our children in the church hall for a pajamas party. We will watch Frosty the Snowman, have popcorn, read some Christmas stories. Save the date, bring a friend, and bring a flash-light (we will have a flash-light tour up the bell tower!).

If you enjoy singing the Choir would love to have you join them! Please speak to a member of the Choir or to Toto, the organist.

The YMCA ReConnect Food Pantry, which provides some support to people in between their trips to the Food Bank, is in desperate need. Please put donations in the wooden food box.

Would you be interested in volunteering with the Westmorland Institute, the minimum security facility in Dorchester? Specifically, one-on-one visitors are needed. Volunteers are also needed to drive inmates to Church. Obviously, this is no small request and some training is involved. Nevertheless, if you are interested, please speak to the Rector.

“A Tour of St. George’s” books and St. George’s pins will be for sale after the 10 a.m. Service - $15 for the book and $5 for the pins. They are also available at the Office.

Nursery – Please note that our Church nursery is located in the Church Hall just off the stage. There are a variety of toys and large puzzles. We also have a number of pew packs for children at the back of the Church. These are loaded with goodies/activities for young children.
